Conversa Corps Launches Revolutionary Grant Program to Transform Disaster Response Collaboration

First CollabOps Service Grant awarded to Texas Gulf Coast Regional Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (TGCRVOAD), providing instant online collaboration capability for 450+ aid team representatives from over 60 organizations in the greater Texas Gulf Coast area.September 23, 2025 – Conversa Corps today announced the successful launch of its groundbreaking CollabOps Service Grant (CSG) program, designed to eliminate technology barriers that hamper critical disaster response coordination. The inaugural grant was awarded to the Texas Gulf Coast Regional Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (TGCRVOAD) on July 7, 2025, providing them with comprehensive online collaboration infrastructure for the 2025 hurricane season.Addressing a Critical GapThe CSG program recognizes that while aid organizations excel at their core missions, many lack the resources to establish and manage sophisticated online collaboration platforms during emergencies. Conversa Corps’ solution provides an “out-of-the-box” collaboration capability, complete with technology, tools, procedures, personnel, expertise, and training.“Organizations shouldn’t have to choose between focusing on aid delivery and setting up communication systems when disasters strike,” said Chris Jones, Executive Director for Conversa Corps . “Our CSG program ensures they can do what they do best while we handle the collaboration infrastructure.”Real-World ImpactUnder the first CSG, TGCRVOAD’s 65 teams and approximately 450 member representatives now have access to Aid Arena, a centralized chat platform serving as their primary coordination hub. The partnership includes:
  • Comprehensive operation plan developed and tailored to the 2025 hurricane season
  • Dedicated Conversa Corps staff support to maximize platform utilization
  • Table-top exercises to prepare teams for rapid deployment during live disasters
  • One-stop collaboration connecting internal teams and mutual aid partners
  • Training for the Aid Arena platform and greater mission effectiveness through CollabOps
Beyond TechnologyThe CSG program goes beyond providing tools—it delivers a complete collaboration ecosystem. Conversa Corps works directly with grantees to develop customized operational plans and provides ongoing training to ensure maximum effectiveness when disasters strike.“This isn’t just about technology deployment,” explained Chris Jones,  “We’re embedding our expertise directly into their operations to enhance their mission-critical coordination capabilities.”Looking ForwardThe CSG program represents Conversa Corps’ commitment to supporting both rapid-onset emergencies and long-term crisis response efforts. The Texas Gulf Coast partnership will serve as a model for expanding the program to additional regions and aid organizations nationwide.
