What is Aid Base?

Wildfire and Crisis Team Registry

Aid Base is a global registry of wildfire and related disaster teams that allows anyone to quickly find organizations by numerous ways including their link to multiple factors:

  • Type of Work: Users can search for organizations based on the functions the organization performs during an incident.
  • Geographic Region: Organizations can be discovered by the regions they support, enabling better search for organizations that support specific crisis areas.
  • Organization Type: Users can search by the type community sector they belong to (e.g., NGO, government, nonprofit, etc.).
  • Incident Context: What phase of an incident the organizations supports; planning and preparation (blue sky), response, or recovery.

The Slack and web-based Aid Arena search tools streamline the discovery process, making it easier for anyone to find relevant organizations and contacts, leading to more effective contact and faster response times during crises.

Active Aid Arena Member Search

Aid Base allows anyone in our Aid Arena community to look up anyone who works with/for any organization in Aid Base, for faster identification of who performs specific functions, works in what field and where. This enables Aid Arena members to discover others in that community using multiple search factors.
